Ayurveda is an ancient medical science. As we use it in various ways in daily life we can’t even think where it is with us. In Puranas, we have heard many spiritual stories about gods and devils, and the evolution of Ayurveda is a kind of spiritual story. There are lots of references that show us how Ayurveda is evolved.
Ayurvedavtran is a divine process of transformation of knowledge of Ayurveda and its principles. Various acharyas acquired complete and true knowledge of Ayurveda from their guru. This was a traditional example of a conference and discussion with their guru and colleagues.
According to Charak Samhita
ब्रह्मणा हि याथाप्रोक्तामायुर्वेदं प्रजापतिः|
जग्राह निखीलेनादाव्श्विनौ तु पुनस्तत:||
आश्विभ्यां भगवाञछक्र: प्रतिपेदे ह केवलम्|
ॠषिप्रोक्तो भारद्वाजस्तस्मच्छक्रमुपागमत्||

According to Charakacharya, The almighty Brahma as a creator of all Vedas having complete knowledge of Ayurveda was the first guru. Dakshprajapati being the son of Lord Brahma acquired the knowledge of Ayurveda. Ashwinikumar, physician of god gained knowledge from Dakshprajapati. Indra was king of heaven and gods obtained knowledge from Ashwinikumar. this was known as Daivik Ayurvedavtran. For the wellness of mankind, Maharshi Bharadwaj adjured lord Indra for knowledge of Ayurveda. , Maharshi Bharadwaj put the knowledge of Ayurveda in hands of their 6 shishas, named as Agnivesha, Bhel, Jatukarna, Parashara, Harit, Ksharpani. This is known as Lokik Ayurvedavtaran.
According to Sushrut Samhita
ब्रह्मा प्रोवाच तत: प्रजापतिरधिजगे, तस्माद्श्विनौ, अश्विभ्यामिन्द्र:, इंद्रादहं, मयात्विह प्रदेयमर्थिभ्य:प्रजाहितहेतो:|

Ayurvedavtaran is explained in Sushrut Samhita as the same as that of Charak Samhita. firstly Lord Brahma was the first to know Ayurveda. after that Dakshaprajapati got it from Brahma and forwarded that to Ashwinikumar. Indra gained it from Ashwinikumar. for the prosperity of the population Lord Dhanvantari acquired the knowledge of Ayurveda. Dhanvantri handover knowledge of Ayurveda to Aoupadhenav, vaitaran, Aurabhra, Paoushkalvata, Karavirya, Gopurakshita, and Sushruta.
According to Ashtang Hridaya
ब्रह्मा स्मृत्वाऽऽयुषो वेदं प्रजापतिजिग्रहत्|
सोऽश्विनौ तौ सहस्त्राक्षं सोऽत्रिपुत्रादिकान्मुनीन् ||
तेऽग्नीवेशादीकांस्ते ते पृथक तंत्रणि तेनिरे|

Vagbhatacharya explained Ayurvedavtran the same as Charakacharya. The creator Lord Brahma gave knowledge to Prajapati and then Ashwinikumar, Indra, Atreya, and Agnivesha and the group.
According to Kashyap Samhita
Ayurvedavtran from lord Bramha up to Indra is again the same in Kashyap Samhita. Then Kashyap, Vashistha, Atri, and Bhrugu praised Devraj Indra for their knowledge of Ayurved.
According to Puranas
Accoprding to purana Daksha prajapati was first guru. Acharya Bhaskara got kwoledge from Prajapati. Bhaskaracharya gave this knowledge to his 14 shishas, named Dhanvantri, Divodas, Kashiraj, Ashvinikumar, Nakul, Sahadev, Yama, Chyavan, Janak, Budh, Jabala, Paila, Agastya, Kavath.
